10/05/2009 : NEW PRICES, NEW POLICY In
spite of the financial crisis affecting the World, we have succeeded in
keeping prices steady in average: on one hand we have marginally
increased the price of our "H"
model due to raw materials increase; on the other hand, we have decided
to substantially reduce the price of the "S" and "F" models,
considering that the cost of our tooling and equipment have been
recouped over the
large quantities of aircraft produced all these years.
II. IMPORTANT CHANGE IN DISTRIBUTION POLICY, to the direct benefit of the Buyer ! <<ALL PRICES QUOTED BELOW ARE NOW INCLUSIVE OF SEA FREIGHT TO THE PORT OF DESTINATION>>
In
other terms, the Buyer will not be charged for any expenditure incured
outside the Country of destination (USA or Canada) : the
Distributor/Dealer will charge him only for local transportation and
local Government levies, if any. However Air freight, if specifically
requested by the Buyer, will be charged in whole to the Buyer. III. REGARDING SAILCLOTH: among the options available for "Hanuman", "OPAC" has been replaced
with "SQ", a laminated sailcloth of similar properties with longer life.
22/05/2008 : GREAT NEWS FROM RDD ! : THE X-AIR "H" ("Hanuman") OBTAINS "LSA" CERTIFICATION ! Here is the mail that we received from David McRae, head of RDD Enterprises, LLC, who has been coordinating this effort : "Thank
you to all of you who played such important roles over the past months
in the effort to obtain LSA status for the X Air LS. The effort
culminated today in the successful certification of the first X Air LS
as a Light Sport Airplane! The FAA Inspector (yes a real, live FAA
employee) arrived at the RDD facility for the inspection at 1PM this
afternoon and left very satisfied at 4PM.

25/04/2008 : KIT RATES REVISED Dear Friends, you will have appreciated that we have done our best to maintain our aircraft kit rates steady for quite an impressive number of years. However, under the combined pressure of inflation, increases in raw materials costs, and a weak US Dollar, we are left with no other option but to increase prices. Another important factor to be considered is the amount of considerable improvements/additions that we have progressively introduced in the recent past, as well as the costs involved in processing the "H" model LSA certification which of course reflects positively on our kits since they will qualify for ELSA registration. Thank you for your understanding. 24/04/2008 : RECENT ADDITIONS/IMPROVEMENTS BROUGHT TO THE "H" MODEL Higher quality resins allowing our composite to withstand extreme temperatures. Use of PU paint instead of gelcoat on all composite parts allowing for a considerable weight saving and improved finish. All "H" kits now include: proper door handles, composite floorboard with battery compartment, suspension bunjees, all necessary fittings/screws for cowling and composite parts assemblies, etc.. Availability of 2 options of engine installation (Jabiru 2200, Rotax 582). DISTRIBUTION POLICY Since January 2007, all our aircraft kits are shipped directly to our Distribution Centres in the USA and CANADA, by SEA CONTAINER from Factory. In this way our Resellers have access to a considerable stock of aircraft and parts, thus offering a larger choice among aircraft models and color schemes. We hope that this new distribution policy will minimise the delays for procurement of aircraft, as well as spare parts. Furthermore, the freight component is considerably reduced. ACCESSORIES AVAILABLE FOR THE "H" Front wheel pant (See Pic). Air box with carb-heat control for Jabiru installation (See Pic). Spacer for retaining original Jabiru propeller flange (See Pic). For ordering these items, contact your nearest reseller. !Important! SAFETY ISSUE ON THE "H" !Important! A safety issue has croped up which concerns all X-air "H" (Hanuman) bearing a Serial Number anterior to 992.
It appears that the anchoring point of pilot & passenger safety
harness has to be reinforced to bear extreme frontal impacts. We
request all owners of such aircraft to contact the nearest X-air
Distributor or Dealer and obtain a simple retrofit which will bring
their aircraft to the present standard. We are considering making this
retrofit mandatory and will keep you posted on the issue.

- The X-AIR "Standard" kit DOES NOT
INCLUDE doors and wheel pants: those come as optional accessories.
