Sailcloth Options & Specifications:

All our varieties of sailcloth are supplied by the reputed German Company "Dimension Polyant".

1. DACRON (DAC): The name is actually an abuse of language for standard "POLYESTER STABILIZED SAILCLOTH", the good old sailcloth used from the dawn of Ultralight Aviation.
Weight: 170 g/sq.m
STANDARD colors are : WHITE - BLUE - YELLOW - RED
Other colors will have to be specifically ordered increase the fabrication delay and attract a surcharge


2. ULTRALAM (UL): Some may call it "MYLAR" but in truth this is only polyester stabilized sailcloth reinforced with polyester filaments and finished with a one-sided polyester film, thus giving the shiny sleek aspect.
Weight: 180 g/sq.m
STANDARD colors are : WHITE - BLUE - YELLOW - RED
Other colors will have to be specifically ordered increase the fabrication delay and attract a surcharge

3. SQ (SQ): This is again a polyester fabric, with a smooth polyester film, reinforced with polyester filaments in both directions. BEST CHOICE FOR YOUR "H" !
Weight: 180 g/sq.m
Color: Milky white only.

Note: Our color schemes are made of a main color among those listed above, with a dash of a secondary color (mainly leading edges of  flying surfaces), also picked among the listed colors. For exeemple, RED / BLUE stands for a RED sail with BLUE trim.

RESISTANCE TO UV:
Make no mistake, all kind of rumours are circulating on the internet and elsewhere, trust us: these 3 types of sailcloth are all based on the same ingredients cooked following different recipes; therefore UV resistance is only function of the fabric thickness (basically weight).
